At first, the mix of CBT, DBT, group sessions, and one-on-one therapy felt overwhelming, but it ended up being exactly what I needed! My counselors, both in groups and individually, were super skilled, caring, tough, and inquisitive. This program truly changed my life!

Being part of Lionrock was truly a fantastic experience. The counselors were super friendly and easy to chat with. My group counselor, Veronica, is just incredible and such a lovely person. They really excel at accommodating your schedule, making the groups accessible for all. We held our sessions via Zoom, which made it a breeze to join without the hassle of driving anywhere. If I had the chance, I'd give them a full 10 stars! I had been sober since 2018 when I joined the program, yet I still picked up new insights and coping techniques. Honestly, it was a joy to participate, and the time flew by thanks to the warm atmosphere created by everyone. It's refreshing to connect with folks who truly get what you're dealing with and the challenges you're facing.

The care I received was truly tailored to my needs. My therapist is fantastic, and the work we do really helps tackle deep-rooted issues and behaviors. I got great support throughout the process.

I really had no clue what to anticipate. It wasn't merely about hanging out and chatting. The phase work provided me with a solid plan to thrive, and the sessions in the latter part of the meetings were super beneficial. After some time, the classes did start to cover the same material again, and it would’ve been great to explore fresh topics. I hit the jackpot with the two counselors I worked with; they were incredibly patient and instrumental in my journey. I've been sober for over a year now, and I owe a huge part of my success to Lionrock.

I can share my experience with the whole journey, starting from that initial phone call back in May 2022, all the way to my last group session on December 29, 2022. From the people I interacted with a couple of times to my personal therapist who was there for me throughout, Lionrock Recovery has been super welcoming, attentive, and respectful, really helping me navigate the beginning of my ongoing recovery.

No doubt about it, choosing Lion Rock was the most beneficial decision I've ever made for my recovery journey. I've gone through three inpatient and three outpatient programs before this. Honestly, without a second thought, Lion Rock provided the most significant leap forward I've ever had. At first, when I was signing up and heard how long the process could take, I was a bit skeptical. But I decided to give it a go, and I ended up really enjoying my time with the group. This was the first time I had to actually do homework, which I usually can't stand, but it really helped me uncover a lot of things about myself that I didn't even know were there, causing more issues than necessary. My personal counselor was absolutely fantastic. He really got to know me and helped me gradually understand my problems and how to tackle them. In the end, I came to see that my addiction was a horrible crutch that only led to more pain. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to take that step to Lion Rock; I truly believe it saved my life.

This has been a transformative experience. Initially, I was just looking to recover from addiction. But I found myself healing from within. Now, I feel stronger mentally, physically, and spiritually. I definitely suggest this if you're prepared to embrace change.

Lionrock was fantastic! My personal counselor, Kim, is super direct and gets right to the heart of things, which is exactly what I needed! And my group counselor, Veronica, is incredibly kind and empathetic! She’s honestly the best group counselor I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with! They made a perfect duo to support me, given my personality and the challenges I face. I really didn’t like that Kim managed to bring out my deep-seated issues, forcing me to confront and work through them! Just because I say I didn’t like it doesn’t mean it was a bad experience! Quite the opposite, actually! Kim helped me open up and understand where some of my problems originated, allowing me to start addressing and accepting them!

But beyond the amazing counselors, Lionrock was just what I was searching for! If I had to explain Lionrock to someone, I’d say it’s all about mental and behavioral health with a strong emphasis on addiction. I’m not looking for a 12-step program, nor do I want anyone judging me if I slip up! That just makes me want to mess up even more! Lionrock gets that relapse is part of recovery, and they help you figure out why you felt the urge to relapse, guiding you to process it and move on! Plus, the folks in my group were awesome too! I met people from all over the country, and I still keep in touch with some of them! Honestly, I’d return to Lionrock if I ever struggle with relapse again or if I feel the need for some mental health classes!
